Welcome, President Sam!

Welcome, President Sam!

Join us in extending a warm welcome to Samantha Goos who takes over as the President of the SDCN Management Team. Samantha is from the Netherlands and has a background in copywriting, online marketing, SEO optimization and B2C publishing. She has also been quite a globetrotter, having lived in Peru, England, France, Australia, United States and now, Sweden. She shifted to Stockholm in November 2019 and has been an active SDCN member, joining the Management Team in March 2020.

Samantha is excited about this opportunity – “At SDCN, it’s all about making new connections; both on a social level and from a professional perspective. Moving to a country where you don’t have a support network can be daunting, especially when you’re relocating because your partner got recruited. As they start their new challenge and further their career, you can be left feeling a bit directionless, because where to start? That is exactly where the SDCN makes a big difference to its members’ lives (including mine). SDCN navigates you towards new job opportunities, friendships, and helps you integrate into Swedish society. I am thrilled at the chance to take over the presidency of SDCN from Peng Wu – another of our network’s many success stories, as he’s managed to find full-time employment via SDCN’s contacts. I am excited about contributing my skills, enthusiasm, and a healthy dose of Dutch realness to the position – and can’t wait to help every SDCN member maximize their potential. Let’s connect soon!”

We wish Samantha the very best, and look forward to her stewardship and infectious dynamism in steering SDCN.
