Congratulations Eugen!

Congratulations Eugen!

Eugen Azcoaga joined SDCN in August 2017. Originally from Finland, Eugen moved to Stockholm with his partner working in Klarna. Today, Eugen is the Head of UX at Match2One, a Stockholm-based startup offering an easy to use AI-powered programmatic advertising platform for small and medium businesses. Here he offers his take on getting his dream job in Stockholm –

“It took a while to find the right match, but the process also taught me a lot about my key strengths, areas for improvement, and where I want to be heading next in my career. For me, the three most important aspects when looking for a job have been showing interest in what the company does and needs from their new hire, being confident and passionate about your strengths and areas of interest and actively promoting them, while at the same time being honest and clear about areas of improvement as well as what you don’t want to be focusing on in your career.

As one more tip, I encourage Stockholm newcomers to go out to events and reach out to people, as the majority of the interviews in my case at least didn’t come through formal applications but from people I met and felt share the same views and interests.

Big thanks to everyone at SDCN as well! The events and workshops have been extremely helpful and encouraging, and it’s been great to meet so many wonderful new people, both peers and staff members.”

Thank you for sharing, Eugen! We wish you the best and look forward to widening our network with you.
