Are you interested in contributing to the development of Stockholm Dual Career Network? We are now looking for a team member to the Communication Team.

Who we are

Stockholm Dual Career Network (SDCN) is a network for expat partners and spouses of employees working at the network’s affiliated organisations. Through various activities SDCN aims to facilitate for spouses and partners in settling in Stockholm, broaden their social and professional network, and assist in the job seeking process.

SDCN is run by Stockholms Akademiska Forum (Staf) in cooperation with a team of volunteer members – the SDCN Management Team. The Management Team is responsible for the operational organisation of SDCN and for the development of the network together with Staf.

About the position

The Communication Team is responsible for the internal communication within the SDCN Management as well as the external communication towards SDCN members. (Please note that Staf is responsible for communication with the affiliated organisations and the strategic parters.) The responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing internal communication within the SDCN Management Team in collaboration with the other teams
  • Managing and developing external communication with SDCN members
  • Working closely with the Event Team before and after events to write event descriptions, market the event in all decided channels, and communicate about the event afterwards
  • Working with Staf to create content for welcome emails and other introduction information to new members
  • Handling the communication with SDCN members, answer their questions, and/or forward their questions to the responsible person
  • Producing and sending a SDCN newsletter on a regular, at least monthly, basis to inform the members of past and upcoming events and activities

There is no requirement for being present specific hours per week since majority of the tasks can be done remotely. However, it is necessary to be able to attend the Management Team meetings, which are held one afternoon per a month.
