How to make a good impression at an (online) job interview – with Spotify

Coming out of the pandemic, we can see that the recruitment processes globally have shifted between virtual and in-person interviews. At this event, you will hear the recruiter’s point of view on things to keep in mind to make an impactful first impression at a virtual interview, dos and don’ts, and how you can prepare for it.

How do you make a good impression at an online interview? What aspects of body language should you keep in mind? How do you present yourself as the right candidate for a job when you only get to meet the recruiter through a screen?

Berina Heco and Dany Torres from the Talent Acquisition team at Spotify are here to talk about the new ways of recruiting and give tips and tricks that could help you in your recruitment journey.

Our speakers:

Berina is from Bosnia but she was raised south of Sweden in `Småland´. She studied HR, majoring in labor law. She started her work life in the healthcare industry as an HR generalist and Manager. After trying out almost all areas of HR, she decided to specialize in the recruitment and that´s how she ended up packing her bags and moving to Stockholm to join Spotify. She has now been with Spotify for a bit over 3 years and her main focus is to own the full recruitment cycle for Tech and Product insights roles.

Dany was born in Mexico City and grew up in Minnesota USA. After her bachelor’s degree, she got her first job in the HR department at the world’s largest brewery, AB InBev, where she worked with People Management and was responsible for the national talent program. After almost two years at AB InBev, she went on to take a master’s degree in human resources management in Barcelona. It was from Spain that she came to Sweden, to take the position as the first full-time tech recruiter at a scale-up within web security, full-cycle hiring for a wide variety of tech roles for two and a half years. This broad experience and knowledge is ultimately what led her to her current position as a tech recruiter at Spotify.
