Information about SIFA Intensive Swedish Courses

If you have a university degree and would like to study Swedish at a fast pace, you should apply for SIFA’s intensive Swedish courses. At this information session you will learn more about the program and how to apply.

SIFA (Stockholm Intensive Swedish for Academics) belongs to the municipal adult education in Stockholm and provides Swedish courses for people with a university degree, free of charge. They offer a wide range of Swedish courses aimed at economists, lawyers, social scientists, engineers, architects, teachers and other academic fields. You don’t need any prior knowledge of Swedish, and if you already know some Swedish, you start at the level that is right for you.

During this information session for SDCN members, Eva Vinterhav, Education Manager at SIFA, will tell you all about the program; how it works and how to apply. After the talk, there will be a Q&A session.

Requirements for applying to SIFA:

  • You need an university degree in one of following fields: Economy, Law, Social Science, Engineering, Architect or Teaching
  • You have been in Sweden less than three years
  • You must know English at level English 6 (for teachers, the requirement is English level 4)
