The City of Stockholm is one of the largest employers in Sweden, with over 400 different professions within education, social care, care of elderly, infrastructure, etc.

Competent and committed employees are a prerequisite for our ability to respond to the residents’ needs and expectations of quality services. The organization must therefore ensure a strategic and good competency supply work to reach set goals and meet future challenges.

The workshop aims at giving you as a participant the opportunity to learn more about the City of Stockholm, both as an organization and as an employer. You will also get an insight into how the municipality works with competence-based recruitment.

We will focus on the following questions:

How is the concept of competence defined? What is required in job advertisements – really? What do I need to keep in mind when applying for a vacancy?
