The City of Stockholm’s Mentorship Program

The City of Stockholm arranges a mentorship program called Stockholmsmentor. Through the program, newly arrived expats can get a mentor who is well-established in the Swedish job market. The duration of the program is 8 months, with one meeting per month.

The purpose of the mentorship program is that the participants will:

  • broaden their professional network in Stockholm.
  • gain insights about Swedish working life and business culture.
  • practise their Swedish in a professional context.
  • gain knowledge about the different available avenues into the Swedish labour market.

The program is held a few times per year, and there are a few open spots on the next program that starts on 29th of November.

At this event, Mic Eyre and Ulrika Hällgren who are the coordinators for Stockholmsmentor, will introduce the program and explain how it works. After their talk, speed-interviews (15 minutes) will be held individually to understand your work experience, educational background, etc.

Event outline:

  • Information about Stockholmsmentor
  • Speed-interviews

Before you register for this event, please note:

  • In order to qualify for the program, you need to be a resident of The City of Stockholm municipality (Stockholms stad). If you are not resident of one of these areas, you can unfortunately NOT apply.
  • You need to have started to learn Swedish, since parts of the program will be in Swedish and you are expected to speak some Swedish with your mentor.
