Walk in Skogskyrkogården

Skogskyrkogården or ‘the Woodland Cemetery’ is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Although the cemetery is worth a trip any time of the year, an especially moving time to visit is during Allhelgonahelgen or the All Saint’s Day.

It is a tradition on this day for the families and friends of those who are interred in the cemetery to light a candle and lay down fresh flowers at the graves in memory of the departed. The cemetery comes alive with thousands of tiny candle flames flickering in the dark.

Join us as we go on the much-anticipated yearly tour of Skogskyrkogården with Frieda Schmidt from the SDCN Management Team. Visiting the cemetery with Frieda – who is a researcher in art history and anthropology – is a special treat!

Your families are more than welcome to join in. We will meet at the entrance of the Skogskyrkogården tunnelbana stop at 13:50 and then proceed towards the park.

Please sign up no later than 6 November.
