Swedish course for beginners (Starting in October)

Jumpstart your Swedish!

SDCN offers a Swedish for beginner’s course exclusively for SDCN members. In this program, you’ll study in a small group with a skilled and engaging language coach who will explain grammatical concepts, pronunciation, and aspects of Swedish culture.

Highlights of the course:

  • The course will include an introduction to pronunciation and grammar, greetings and making small talk, date and time vocabulary, words and phrases to help you with food and shopping in Sweden, important concepts for talking about work and family, and of course many of the verbs and adjectives you need to begin describing and explaining in Swedish!
  • Designed to help you build the confidence to begin speaking Swedish quickly, you will be practicing speaking with your peers from the very first class!
  • You will be coached by Swedish for Professionals, a young and innovative company that specializes in practical and engaging language courses.

Please note:

  • The class is at a beginner’s level.
  • There is a limit of 15 participants per course.
  • If you get a place on the course, attendance is mandatory. The course is offered free of charge but we require participants to notify us in advance of any absence (for reasons such as, job interview, illness, childcare problem). After 2 unmotivated absences, you will be charged for the cost of the course (SEK 2400).
  • The course is reserved only for SDCN members. If you are not yet a member, please make sure you join SDCN before registering for the class.

The next course starts on 12 October 2020 and ends on 2 December 2020. The lessons will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, 10.00-11.30.

Note: Given the situation with the COVID-19, this course will be offered online, so that you can stay in the safety of your homes and still learn! Swedish for Professionals specializes in teaching online courses, so rest assured, your experience will still be the same. But this is entirely dependent on the situation prevalent then, so we will let you know as and when we can.
