Personal Branding: Get Noticed to Get Hired

Personal Branding: Get Noticed to Get Hired

On the 5th of June, SDCN members had the pleasure of participating in a 2-hour interactive workshop with Veronica Mesuraca. Veronica is an international Career Coach and Personal Branding Consultant who helps various professionals to market themselves with confidence and ambitions.

During the workshop participants learnt how to define one’s personal brand, create an elevator pitch and market themselves for career opportunities, both in real life and online. While working in pairs, members practised presenting themselves to other professionals and gave feedback to each other afterwards. This was an interesting and fun experience, which helped them to create a short elevator pitch by the end of the workshop.

During the Q&A session members discussed various challenges and pitfalls associated with  social media and how it can be both advantageous and disadvantageous for networking purposes.

We at SDCN would like to extend our thanks to Veronica for holding such an informative and interactive workshop on branding, which we regard very highly as an on-demand skill to have.
