Who can join SDCN?

SDCN welcomes expat partners of employees at the network’s affiliated organisations. So, if your spouse works at one of the following companies or organisations you can become a member of SDCN.

Temporary membership offer!


Because of the current exceptional circumstances due to the coronavirus, we will temporarily open up Stockholm Dual Career Network for individual membership. That means that expats who have moved to Stockholm with a partner who got a job here can become SDCN members on their own, regardless of whether his or her partner’s employer is affiliated with SDCN or not. The Individual SDCN Membership cost 2000 SEK. This membership will be valid for the rest of 2020.

What does the Individual SDCN Membership include?

With the Individual SDCN Membership you will get access to all* SDCN events and activities, such as:

  • Career Support Group
  • Workshops and seminars/webinars on career and work-related topics
  • Social events and activities
  • Swedish training sessions in the Say-it-in-Swedish Group
  • Access to the SDCN Facebook group with over 600 current and former SDCN members, where you can ask other expats questions and get tips and advice.
  • A personal online guidance hour with a member of staff at the Stockholm Academic Forum.

The membership is valid from the day your membership application is approved until 31 December 2020.

*Please note that access to the Swedish course with Swedish for Professionals is not included, but can be added separately.

Is this for me?

  • Have you moved to Stockholm because your partner got a job here?
  • Is your partner employed by a company or organization in Stockholm (or in a nearby location)?
  • Do you have at least a Bachelor’s Degree?
  • Are you a foreign (non-Swedish) citizen?

If you have replied ‘yes’ to all of the above, you are eligible to apply for the Individual SDCN Membership.

How much does the Individual SDCN Membership cost?

The Individual SDCN Membership cost 2000 SEK. Please note that a place at the Swedish course with Swedish for Professionals is not included in this fee, but can be added separately for 2000 SEK per course.

How do I apply for Individual SDCN Membership?

You register by clicking on the “Join!” button below. At the question “At which affiliated organization does your partner work”, you select “Individual SDCN Membership”. After you have registered, someone from Stockholm Academic Forum will contact you regarding payment details.
