Swedish Spring Traditions

The Swedish spring is filled with holidays and traditions. After months of darkness and cold weather, the Swedes are desperately longing for light and warmth. On April 30 we celebrate “Valborg” or “Walpurgis” to really welcome the spring, but there are other, more subtle ways in which the Swedes celebrate all possible signs that the winter is finally over.

During this event, which has become an annual SDCN tradition, Maria Fogelström Kylberg, CEO of Stockholm Academic Forum, will give a presentation on Swedish spring traditions and the music that comes with it.

This event will be held online on Zoom. Please register no later than 9 March. A link to the Zoom meeting will be sent to your email before the event starts (remember to check your spam folder if you haven’t received it).
