Using Public Resources in Sweden

Are you a newcomer to Stockholm and wondering how to sign up for an SFI course or which institute to apply to?

Have you been here for awhile, but you’re not exactly sure how to go about getting a driver’s license?

Do you have a bunch of job-alerts on, but still cannot figure out how and where to apply for an internship?

Then join us for a session where the SDCN Management Team introduces a range of useful public resources that are available in Sweden, and how you can access them.

We’ll cover topics such as:

  • free internships, mentorship programs, networking, and career-related support
  • free Swedish courses (i.e. SIFA)
  • getting a driver’s license
  • accessing the healthcare system
  • welfare benefits
  • schooling for children

If you ever wanted a shortcut to understanding the Swedish system and how to access the benefits available, make sure to join us!

There will be a brief Q&A session after the presentations, and we’ll try our best to answer any questions that you might have.

This event will be held online on Zoom. Please register no later than 09.00 the same day as the event. A link to the Zoom meeting will be sent to your email before the event starts (remember to check your spam folder).
